Clairefontaine Pastelmat Pastel Board allows you to broaden your working surface as it is rigid enough that it can be supported by an easel. Pastelmat is a premium card surface (360gsm / 170lb) specially developed for pastelists. Its unique velvety surface, made from a fine coating of cellulose fibers, has the ability to grab and hold multiple layers of even the softest pastels.Pastelmat significantly reduces the need for fixative, which means that colors remain vibrant and fresh once applied. It has the added bonus of being gentle on both fingers and blending tools. It is acid free and lightfast.Pastelmat is ideal for use with all dry media - pastel sticks, PanPastel, pencils and charcoal. It is also water resistant which means that it can be used with wet media – such as acrylics and watercolor for washes and mixed media techniques.This Pastelmat Pad No.4 contains twelve sheets; three each of Burgundy, Dark Blue, Light Blue, Sand.Please note: PastelMat are sometimes subject to some small spotting and discolouration. This is to be expected due to the manufacturing process. The small talc spots can simply be removed with a stiff brush or a craft knife.

Sennelier Oil Pastel Pad is specially formulated for oil pastels. The oil will not seep or bleed through the card, while the pages are interleaved with glassine to protect your work.Each pad is spiral bound on the narrow edge and contains 12 340gsm sheets of acid-free paper. The surface cannot take solvent, and doing so will cause it to swell and blister. It also repels water.Available in four sizes: 16 x 24cm, 24 x 32cm, 30 x 40cm, and 40 x 60cm.
