Jackson’s Watercolour Pad is spiral bound and measures 7.5 x 11 inches. It contains 25 sheets of Jackson’s 280gsm watercolour paper with a Cold-pressed (‘Not’) finish. This means that the surface of the paper is slightly textured, and is not suitable for extremely detailed work; however, most painters will find it suitable for most purposes. The colour (High White) is a very close match to Fabriano 5, and it does contain optical brighteners to give it a bright white colour. It is made from a mixture of cotton and linen, and is sized with gelatin. Each sheet is deckle-edged, and bears the stamp and watermark of the RWS.At 425gsm, this is a thicker, heavier sheet. Please note, this sheet has a Rough surface, and is less suitable for detailed work.
