Wie 1949 und 1953 so ist auch dieser Kongress der Initiative von Professor KARL-WILHELM J OETTEN t zu verdanken. Ihm war der inter nationale Austausch von Ergebnissen und Erfahrungen auf dem so kom plexen Gebiete der Staublungenforschung ein besonderes Anliegen. Es ist daher gewiss gerechtfertigt, in diesem Bericht seiner dankbar zu gedenken. Zum Abschluss der Tagung hat K. W.
