The injection of a combination of vitamins and medications into the middle layer of the skin has been practised in continental Europe for some fifty years now, but because the literature has hitherto not been published in English the topic is still surrounded by a great deal of ignorance and prejudice. This atlas from a renowned authorship will document in detail what is involved in the practical techniques of mesotherapy and will be of extreme interest to all practitioners of cosmetic dermatology. All practitioners in minimally invasive aesthetic surgery will have heard or read about mesotherapy - the injection of a combination of vitamins and medications into the middle layer of the skin - which has been refined in continental Europe for over fifty years, but because the literature has hitherto not been published in English the topic in general is still surrounded by a great deal of ignorance (and even prejudice). This atlas from a renowned European authorship will document in detail what is involved in the practical clinical techniques of mesotherapy and will be an essential reference.
Dermoscopy can be a useful tool to evaluate skin of color for general dermatologic diseases; however, it does require practitioners to be aware of many points of difference from patients with lighter phototypes. This highly illustrated text brings together the pioneering experience of international experts to document patients of phototypes IV to VI (from subcontinental Asian, North African, South American, to African skin).
