Dem Forschungsdesiderat begegnet diese Arbeit durch eine Klärung des Forschungsgegenstands Dialektsyntax und die Entwicklung eines syntaktischen Modells, das nicht nur eine adäquate Beschreibung niederdeutscher Dialekte ermöglicht, sondern zugleich eine varietätenübergreifende Syntax der deutschen Gesamtsprache.
