A satirical, yet very serious, look at depression from the
sufferer, spouse, child, and coworkers
Examining all the major research data since the 1940s, this book
challenges two orthodox medical models: HIV as the cause of AIDS,
and random genetic mutations as the cause of cancer. Based on the
recent findings from Evolutionary Biology and Nitric Oxide
research, it presents a fundamentally new understanding of the
human cell, its double genome split between the cell nucleus and
the mitochondria, and the role of energy production and signal
modulation for immune reactions and carcinogenesis. Finally, it
explains the concept of a new Cell Symbiosis Therapy[registered]
for the treatment of all chronic diseases, including cancer. Now
available in English for the first time, this book is a must-read
for doctors, patients and anyone following the cutting edge of
biology and immunology. With the blasting open of such doors of
knowledge, the medical world will never again be the same.
On November 4th, 2007, I visited with my best friend to celebrate
my birthday. It was a typical warm afternoon in Florida. I was
surprisingly complimented with a delectable meal accompanied by
Miami staple drink, Mojitos. I sat in the backyard terrace
oblivious to all cares of this world, amid good company and
laughter when suddenly I felt a lurch in my stomach followed by a
piercing sound and the most uncomfortable, fullness sensation in my
ears. The nausea wave followed suit and in seconds my celebratory
meal and drinks were inevitably expelled in a projectile vomiting
episode. The deja-vu feeling was overwhelming. My relatives and
friends' faces danced in a sort of a burlesque fashion around me. I
was spinning violently yet my body rested motionless in my chair.
The terrace did not stop gyrating and neither did the faces who
danced in an uncontrollable kaleidoscope fashion. As I lay
powerless and terrified I realized that I was Back in the Swirl...

The second edition of Health Promotion and Education: Content and
Curriculum presents students with best practices for school and
public health education. Filled with practical applications and
examples, the book is written with future professional experiences
in mind and provides teaching strategies and learning activities
for diverse learning populations. The book begins by teaching
students about the role and benefit of schools and communities in
promoting health education. In later chapters, models of prevention
(with a focus on health risk behaviors), target population
characteristics, administrative support, maximizing participation,
factors that influence learning, and numerous other critical
subjects are covered. Throughout, readers are challenged to
cultivate practical skills, including learning how to write
learning objectives, implement teaching strategies, use graphic
organizers, plan lessons, create rubrics, and assess and evaluate
progress. The second edition features increased focus on assessment
and evaluation. Students learn how to align assessment and
evaluation strategies with target population indicators and
learning objectives to better demonstrate program and curricula
efficacy. Health Promotion and Education is ideal for courses in
school and/or public health education curriculum and methodology,
as well as those that teach best practices in health education.
