What a Difference A Day Makes- Nurturing the Trinity of Spirit,
Mind, and Body is a book that will guide you through a more
positive, healthy, inspired walk through life. This book will
motivate you to live a life of positive thoughts, to lift your
spirit, while maintaining a sharp mind, and finally keeping your
body healthy with holistic remedies and delicious recipes. "If you
take care of your body today, it will take care of you in the
future."
The causes of schizophrenia are many, including extreme stress,
chemical imbalance, reaction to drugs, genetic predisposition,
isolation, low self-esteem, and even a damaged or weakened aura (a
supposed emanation surrounding the body of a living creature viewed
by mystics, spiritualists, and some practitioners of complementary
medicine as the essence of the individual and allegedly discernible
by people with special sensibilities). My personal onset of
schizophrenia and depression at age forty-two was caused, I
believe, by a combination of the above.
Through the caring help of family, friends, medical doctors,
healers, and my own insights and intuitions, I was able to become
completely free of the symptoms of schizophrenia and all
antipsychotic and antidepressant medications used to treat the
illness. Most influential and important to my healing and recovery,
however, was the utilization of both borrowed and original
strategies that keep me healthy to this day. The sharing of these
strategies, which include identifying one's gifts; relying on
family members, friends, and caregivers; improving one's
self-esteem; identifying one's authentic self; connecting with
healers; being in gratitude; setting goals; and using positive
affirmations for the purpose of recovering and maintaining positive
mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical health is the reason why
I have written this book.
This is a book from the Heart. The authors, Dr Yaron Seidman
(Connecticut, USA) and Teja A. Jaensch (Sydney, Australia), present
an investigation into the human Heart, revealing a method of
healing never seen before. In this practical and profound
exploration, the authors reach numerous breakthroughs in the
understanding of Natural Character and the Heart, how to comprehend
health and disease, and how to approach medicine from a point of
Center. After studying with Master LiA BC igC" ( a a1/4-e .), grand
grandson of the QAng dynasty scholar physician LiA YuA n ( a ae ...

XuAn ( ae e1/2(c) ) philosophy. Over 4000 pages of classical
Chinese text were researched, the pure essence distilled and
translated, and presented here in this book. From finding his lost
tomb in the fields of ShuAngliA county, to the remembrance of LiA
's life work, the Lost Heart of Medicine has been formed and found.
This book is a must read for any practitioner of medicine and their

According to the 2009 census, more than five million people living
in the United States have Alzheimer's disease or some other form of
dementia. Not reported in these statistics are the fifteen million
family caregivers who, in total, contribute seventeen billion hours
of unpaid care each year. This book addresses the needs and
challenges faced by adult children and other family members who are
scrambling to make sense of what is happening to themselves and the
loved ones in their care. The author, an experienced medical and
science writer known for her ability to clearly explain complex and
emotionally sensitive topics, is also a former family caregiver
herself. Using both personal narrative and well-researched,
expert-verified content, she guides readers through the
often-confusing and challenging world of dementia care. She
carefully escorts caregivers through the basics of dementia as a
brain disorder, its accompanying behaviors, the procedures used to
diagnose and stage the disease, and the legal aspects of providing
care for an adult who is no longer competent. She also covers topics
not usually included in other books on dementia: family dynamics,
caregiver burnout, elder abuse, incontinence, finances and paying
for care, the challenges same-sex families face, and coping with
the eventuality of death and estate management. Each chapter begins
with a real-life vignette taken from the author's personal
experience and concludes with "Frequently Asked Questions" and
"Worksheets" sections. The FAQs tackle specific issues and
situations that often make caregiving such a challenge. The
worksheets are a tool to help readers organize, evaluate, and
self-reflect. A glossary of terms, an appendix, and references for
further reading give readers a command of the vocabulary clinicians
use and access to valuable resources.
Our society is obsessed with numbers.
We are compelled to search for success based on an arbitrary
quantity of fat grams and carbohydrates. We are convinced that
victory is hidden just beyond our reach in the number of reps we
complete or the size stamped on the waistband of our jeans.
So we buy the hype and join another program and begin again.
Unfortunately, in no time we find ourselves at the losing end of
another battle for self-control. We carry around the
disappointment, and it glares back every time we glance in the
mirror. Our failures mock our clothing preferences, complicate our
food choices, and interfere with our relationships.
We would try again, but looking at our past littered with
dangerous diet pills and extreme food plans, unused exercise
equipment and discarded gym memberships, we are convinced there is
no point. If the past is any indication, success--even if it is
achievable--will be short-lived and meaningless. Why bother?
The truth is, success is not bound to a number. Disorderly
eating and a poor self-image are not things that can be remedied
with a product off the shelf. Our issues are more than skin deep
when toxic situations from the past dictate current behaviors.
Freedom from numbers can only be found by uncovering and
overcoming the root issues that drive beliefs regarding food and
body image.
Bound by Numbers is a thoughtful approach to healthy living that
begins by addressing internal issues first. Based on extensive
research and real-life examples, you'll learn how to jump off the
treadmill of harmful ideas and jump into a brand-new life free from
the past.
This will be the last time you'll ever have to start all over
again.
